Bob wrote: Probably. Lovely bird…great shame. They’ve had some narrow misses on our patio doors, especially when the prey slammed into it first. This one* veered off onto the bird table and looked at the dead dove behind some pots. She flew off when I went to the window and I threw the dead dove onto the lawn. She never came back for it…the crows took it! ![]() NIKON D850 f/13.0 : Speed 1/40 : ISO 2000 : Lens 500mm f/5.6

Tried again this morning to video this flight, this time perched on 3m steps leaning against the garage...... It's bl**dy hard hand holding the 600mm steady enough for video. I was moving about more than the birds!!!! Decided to give up the idea of videoing until I can work off a tripod at ground level. That will mean a trip to the estuary as there's too much urban foreground at ground level here. Grabbed some stills at least. ![]() SONY - ILCE-1 f/9.0 : Speed 1/1250 : ISO 1000 : Lens FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS + 1.4X Teleconverter
