The latest Mavericks has been released via the MAS. Much more stable and seems very good. I find Wi Fi much more reliable.

I'm having problems with my Photoshop with this release.
It loads images fine but if I use the Text tool it makes Photoshop go unresponsive so I have to Force Quit Photoshop.

I think it may be a Java problem I am just testing. Very annoying as everything was working well.

I heard of some issues with Ps6, I am still running Ps5 and have had no issues. Do you have the latest JAVA? There was a disparity between the DL versions from SunSystems and from Apple, don't know if that is resolved but may explain your issues?

Yes done the latest Java. Just done a reinstall of CS6. All working again. I guess there must have been some corruption or something wrong.

Well I thought it was working but it is not working again. i can edit images but if I want to add Text then it locks up.
It was working so it must be something I have installed int he last week.

It is not an Adobe problem so it must be something that conflicts with Photoshop.
I will need to spend time debugging this.
It is probably something silly like too many fonts or something.

Apparently if you have too many fonts installed this causes problems with all Adobe products.

OK I need to flush some fonts.

Thanks for the info, currently I only have the system fonts and whatever the Adobe Cs installs.

I used to trawl for fonts back in the day but I find I have enough to chose from now.

Yes I had nearly 7000 fonts.
I use these when I make posters and signs for events for my customers.

I am down to less than 4000 now and all is OK. In reality there are so many similar fonts that in all probably I still have too many.
