I know this is an old post but I thought you might be interested in this GPL app ---> http://www.darktable.org

I've played with it. Not an intuitive interface (for me at least), but its supposed to be very powerful. I'd be interested in your opinion.
I think its development is driven by some guys in Sweden.

 darktable runs on GNU/Linux / GNOME, Mac OS X / macports and Solaris 11 / GNOME.

Seems they forgot about windowso.O

 I have tried the Darktable software but I dont like the interface as much as LightZone.
