I have been playing with Nikon NX-D and find I can pull a lot more detail out of a NEF file but as soon as I export it to any location the IQ drops don't know why, any Ideas?

Sorry Iain, no experience of that software. You say 'export'...is there a Save option? I wonder if there are some default save/export settings that need to be undone?

With any camera not transferring properly I'd shoot a test shot and then remove the memory card and read it into my computer, to see if it was saved properly without modifications.

If the NEF/jpg match the camera settings then it's probably some default needing adjustment.

Will follow this topic as it evolves.

Compared to Lightroom. I seem to have sorted it as the dpi was at 70, changed that to 300 and that worked.
