Well just updated Yosemite and low and behold Photos is there. Stable iPhoto gone to replaced by app of little interest or use as it crashes each time I start. Just like the iPad photos app from what I could see. Oh dear Apple:whip:

iPhoto still there is applications just dumped out of dock in update. Library buggered when I try to run and reverted to v9. Apple **** up I fear.

Sounds like you are having major troubles Bob. Did you take the minor updates that came before that pre-prepared the Aperture and iPhoto libraries.

Yup JK had always done updates as they came. There are instruction on Apple support pages but one does not see those until one starts to dig after installation has happened. Got all the files elsewhere so a pain rather than a disaster.
