Yes, works well just get the grit off first wit a brush and blower.

My lad Michael when he was three decided to do me a real good turn and 'clean' all my lenses for me... With his dirty fingers. Smears and dirty fingermarks all over.

After preliminary crud removal with a cloth, brush, blower and IPA I finished off with a new lens pen. They came up well.

Me, too. Use it all the time - on the front of the lens. Much as I like it, I'm still a bit more careful with the rear element.

Thanks to you both. Always like to get an unbiased opinion before I unleash anything on my Nikkors.

I have a similar item.
I tend to use a Giotto blower then a lens tissue/cloth and finally the blower/brush that is similar to a lens pen.
