It’s a nice place to be doing photography.

Hi all, I guess I'm a total stranger here now because my last post was written long ago when the forum was still nikon-dslr.net. Please pardon my silence  because I switched to m43 in 2015 after nearly got a heatstroke carrying my D800e and a number of heavy lenses during a photo trip.  I'm writing to thank JK, Eric and other administrators for "keeping the lights on" and their unceasing efforts to make here the most friendly photographic forum I can think of.  This certain requires lots of time and energy.  Lastly, merry Christmas to you all!

Merry Yuletide and welcome back, yes the lights are on :wine:

All camera makes are welcome - what you do with them is more important than the badge on the cameras....

Welcome back Peter.

Was hoping for a spectacular Hong Kong Christmas street photo.

But Preston high street will have to do.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hello again everyone.

You're right Chris, Nikon cameras are good, but switching to m43 means I can carry a "true camera" all the time...

Btw, lesson learnt - dirt-cheap 3rd party batteries worked fine in Hong Kong, but only last a few dozen shots in the cold weather of the UK.
:hair:

Not to mention losing a couple of stops of available light most winter days.
