Images at f11 looked pin sharp at both ends of zoom, shot indoors with flash as too dull outside to do long shots.

I'm also wating for milder sunny weather to do more tests on the Tamron 150-600. It's sunny today but -15C;~)

This is the first time used in anger and a very poor quality with the new lens. It is the freight ship that had to be grounded on a sand bank as it developed a very serious list on departure from Southampton. Its all over the news tonight.They think the cargo of very expensive cars may have slipped or perhaps the ships balancing tanks we faulty? It was taken at last light this evening and even at pushed ISO the and 400mm. The ship was a long way from me so this is a very small image cropped!Sorry best I could do so when weather gets brighter I will shoot some good quality images for you. Bit of sun today this is at 200mm 1/1000 f6.3 out of my window. Depth of field fall off on left side. Similar shot at 400mm much same quality. With VR one should be able to work at f11 and still get sharp pix but with better depth of field. Attachment: Test-200mm.jpg (Downloaded 47 times)

Yes the ship has been refloated and moved to a new place where it is being inspected for damage to hulland cargo.
