I,on the other hand, hope it's light enough to hand hold at an air show. And costing less than a luxury car...

The Sigma 800 is 'only' £4-5000 in the UK. So I guess the Nikon version will come in at twice that price!

Seems like getting a Nikon 400mm f2.8 with a Kenko DG300 Pro x2 (like I currently have) is a smaller and lighter (relative term!) option. :lol:

Think you missed cheaper JK? (Also relative term in this case.)

Good, long, light and fast lenses don't come cheap.

Definitely cheaper. :-)
The fact that all my main lenses are now f2.8 and AFS means that my collection/tool bag is complete.
Same with the DSLR cameras.

I just need to go take more pictures.
