not logical chris , that's what I'm on about having to navigate via arrows . on other forums it goes either to last post or last viewed without faffing about

I know - I argued just that - but when I changed the code to make the topic link go to last unread, it screwed up the pagination and you couldn't get out of the last page! I'll see if I can persuade it to play nicely.

OK - that took an hour & a half to find the bit of code that generates the topic links - buried about 4 functions deep! Took all of 10secs to add the extra code to make them go to first new post. See if it works for you.

Well done!!! That is probably what is doing Robert's head in! I'll get the bug spray out.... Edited and no check in the box - he will be happy, I hope!
