I personally dont care what make of camera is used as I am more interested on the end result and how it was achieved. I would be less happy to use a Canon only because I dont like the twiddly dial on the back that seems to be counter ontuitive for me. The bodies and lenses are fine. Top end 1DXmk3? is a heavy beast because of the battery but is really full featured. Fuji stuff is more to my taste as lenses are fantastic and cameras are well designed for me. The XT2 and XT3 and the XH1 are better for ergonomics than the Nikons. That is a real accolade from me. However overall I am happy with my Nikon stuff. Havent heard Graham's thoughts on this but I think that for simplicity the name (url) remains the same. Next thing to consider is new software! That is a much larger problem to tackle.

On the whole I feel we have had good uptime with the host server, I know of some forums have been down for many hours, days sometimes. Is there a newer incarnation of this software which would likely be easier to migrate to. I know the previous forum software was unfriendly in that regard but things have moved on. We specifically need multiple images per post and a strikethrough facility in the text editor. Dump the gallery, too may complications and in my view the same end can be achieved by posting images in themed threads. I also think themed threads are stimulating because it encourages us to get out and create images for a theme, rather than just the same old thing. Insects, birds, leaves, water, the list is endless Perhaps a wish list of features then try to find a forum software which fulfils the wishes? Some features are admin only of course, some forums are easier to administer than others.
