More like a 'hold your breath' and scoot through the channel tunnel...40mins to Calais and its free!

Free crossing? Tell me more...

Not strictly free....Tesco vouchers ..sort of underwater miles. LOL

You get a 3:1 exchange rate on the points they give for shopping/petrol. And as we use Tesco credit cards as well, this doubles the points saved.

We have to shop somewhere, so we use tesco to get the points.

Our routine domestic shopping and fuel bill brings us in enough for two trips a year. The occasional lens or camera boosts the kitty as well. :rofl:

PS Jan has surprised me and said she would like to try the sulphur baths in Budapest! I told her she could have a bath with me any time ...and I would try to simulate the effect! She gave me that strange withering glare!
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

OK, I understand now!

I steadfastly refuse to enrol into these 'club points' and similar schemes. I guess that is one of the costs of not playing the game the coprorate's way.

I didnt enrol into a 'clubpoints' scheme as such. I just got their credit card and the other stuff is automatic. Doesnt bother me why they are doing it.

If they want to play silly marketing games off our buying pattern data, so be it.

I just use their card to maximise the accumulation of 'underwater' miles. :thumbsup:

I do the credit points thing at the local food store.. There prices are comparable, and every $100 spent gets 10 cents off per gallon!! And the Dodge Van (Espace) has a 21 gallon tank!!! And I like gas around to $3.00 even per gallon now days!!!

:salute:
