The old adage of “the best camera is the one you have to hand” comes to mind. The beauty of mobile phones is they are invariably in your pocket. Without it being there, you would have missed capturing the special moment.

The fig harvest looks good this year - thanks to the warm spring.

Are they Tuscan or UK?
We have a large fig tree and the fruits never really produce eatable figs. There are lots on there but the birds ruin them and the ones we get off are very substandard compared to supermarket ones.

Mind you, I hack it to death each year so it’s more like a hedge now and we don’t water or feed it so maybe it’s paying me back with what it thinks is sufficient!! o.O

In my garden - I prune back one in three branches each year and also take out any weak growth. The figs are delicious, I have to watch them carefully as they ripen as they will split and then the wasps attack!
