I cannot post anything on the bird thread ...so I will stick these one here..... We've got one of those nut feeders that has spring loaded perches, so that heavy birds drop the perch closing the aperture to the nuts. This guy/gal? has started flying AT the peanut feeder. The impact shakes out peanuts. They then fly down and pick up their trophies before the blackbirds (who have also adopted the technique but aren't big enough to dislodge that easy) swoop in and steal the spillage.
