Bad luckj with the weather but I did my best here are a first few. All will be with my D500 and Nikons 18-140 AF-S DX lens. The lens is a very good as a general trip if away for a few days in a city, results pin sharp but tin bit of barrel distortion only aty 18mm.
This is the few from our hotel bedroom window looking towards St Marks Sq. 6400ISO!

We had about 2 hrs of full sun between the rain. This is Grand Canal off the water bus (No 2 water bus on right) first class way of getting about in Venice.

Brings back memories of many visits to the city. Great view of the main island from there top of the tower in your image of the entrance to the Grand Canal. Island like Burano and Torcello worth a visit.

Yes we went to Burano about an hour from Venice main island on the water bus. Very dramatic coloured buildings and home of lace-making. Plenty of tourist interest and money making for local shops!

Seems like the city has not suffered too badly from the recent floods.
