Yes indeed. I have a similar picture. People dont tend to 'value' their photos. I cringe everytime I see the images on TV that have been given away by happy snappers. People sending in photos have killed the paid for photo market. I used to get £25 or on the odd occasion £250 (cost of a SLR camera in those days) for some of my images that went to magazines or papers. Now they get images for free and the newspapers pay nothing to people and charge a fortune for the paper!. A travesty.

Ultra wide`s and super tele`s might fend of the cell phones for awhile , I also got the impression that 4x5 is slowly making a come back , the view camera crowd is a cheerful community , many using digital post processing, there`s No substitute for camera movements sofar

It does require investing in Large Format lenses , like these ; http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=large+format+shutter&_osacat=625&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1311.R1.TR3.TRC1.A0.H0.Xlarge+format+lenses&_nkw=large+format+lenses&_sacat=625 A handheld Lightmeter is a good thing ( must ) to have, a used Lunasix can be obtained for little money. ... and a solid tripod. That Samyang lens looks good , I`ve got the PC Nikkor 28 f3.5 and the PC 35 f2.8 , and used with the TC 20 it gives all together ... 28 - 35 - 56 - 70 mm , which all can be used handheld , yet are limited to Rise.. Fall.. Shift Left/Right ,..Adequate for most Landscapes tho`.

Nearly forgot to ask , How is that Samyang working out for you ?

I made an adapter for my Speed Graflex 4x5 but the 127 mm f/4.7 is too short to get an infinity focus or to get much use of the movements. A longer lens would be a solution, but I probably wouldn't use it very much. Never tried my PC with a tel extender, will get at that later this week.

It is very sharp and also useful as a 24mm prime, although a bit bulky due to the tilt mechanism. It is totally manual with no auto f/stops but the TS mechanism also rotates for use at any angle and it offers + - 8* Tilt and + - 12* Shift degrees. This wide coverage gives it extreme sharpness when used at 0*T 0*S as a prime. Most of my work so far has been on a tripod with unhurried setups so the manual aspect hasn't been an issue at all. *=degrees ;~)

Started tinkering with the adapter and was able to move it in about 20mm, enough for infinity focus. It works BUT the lens is not as sharp as the 28-300 f/3.5-6.3 Tamron that I used as a comparison focal length :~( Very few uses for this setup, perhaps tabletop still lifes that need swings and tilts. Nice job. I used my money from the sale of my MPP to get me a Nikon PCE 24mm. I dont use it that often as I have other lenses that span it but it is a lovely piece of engineering.
