Philip, Great action pics., taken with what camera ? I did n`t even know a machine like the one in the last pic. existed. The pic taken with that D1 shows that camera does n`t take a step back compared to other cams.

novicius wrote:Philip, Great action pics., taken with what camera ?Just realised this is an old thread 2016.... and 'Phil' doesn't seem to have returned to the forum, after posting the first 3 bike shots. Which machine hadn't you seen before? Was it one of Roberts or mine? Robert and I attended the classic bike races at Cadwell Park on a couple of days. It may not be the latest superbikes but because of this there are less spectators and you can get real close real easy. These events also have different races with sidecars and solo bikes of all vintages on the same race card. The motor cross event was in Norfolk near my home. You can get so close there that you could touch the riders going past...if you were daft enough to do. The biggest problem is hiding from the dirt throuwn about as they pass. My shots were all D3. Which machine hadn't you seen before? Was it one of Roberts or mine? First off...Fantastic Action shots Eric and Robert ![]() To Your question of what bike`s.. Robert`s pic. of a TRIUMPH displaying nr. 68 Your pic. of bike nr. 61 I had not seen Bike`s build that Low to the ground , yes,I`ve been to moto-cross in my Young days , have seen Alterations / Modifications applied ( incl. Ether blend with Petrol ), but those two bikes show a much higher involvement in their Construction, perhaps them were Prototypes ..Do You know ?

They were classic or vintage side car models which as far as I am aware have always been that low to the ground. Here are some more .... Sorry, I haven't been paying attention! ![]() I have been roughcasting my house before the winter. Done now but still needs finishing off. Gear putting away etc. Having a few days doing nothing. I have a stack more racing pix, I follow the historic motorcycle racing championships. No real interest in superbikes. I have several friends who race or mechanic on the historic bikes. I am doing sound on my computer so I can't do pix at the same time. A couple of weeks ago I went to Mallory Park with my friend who has spent the last five years restoring a well known three wheeler which has a Mini engine at the front. He has competed for years with a similar contraption which he built himself but this is very similar to the 'Greenwood Special' which was used very successfully in the early sixties.

This one has a bit more ground clearance! ![]() ![]() Many of these outfits as the sidecar trikes are known, are built by the owners or their mates. Very much a cottage industry. Some of them are amazing and ridden at though they are stolen! LOL The trike in the middle who's passenger just got out mid race... #60 is the Greenwood special. My friends trike is known as the Curley Trike. ![]() This is my friends Curley Trike as he got it five years ago, with my two lads in. ![]() Very battered. Been end over end more than once.
