I think it's brill Iain! The lads will love it, I think (hope LOL). Problem now is to figure how to reverse the setting and how to replicate it...

It is one of the DLighting things I would imagine. It is a Posterization effect.

It's a 'feature' of the D3300! It's called "EFFECTS" on the mode selection dial. I guess I caught the dial dragging the camera out of it's bag. Gaffer tape needed! You can I think chose from a variety of Effects, I haven't dug into that yet but I actually rather like it, for a change it gives an interesting effect for fill in images, as opposed to main content images. This is another of taking down the awning after the racing was over. I just regret there is no team logo visible. I am sure they could be used in and around the office and workshop, possibly printed on vinyl or even metal. I am sure there will be a filter or plug in for Ps, perhaps Lr, to achieve the same effect with a normal photograph. Attachment: Screen Shot 2016-06-20 at 19.22.57.jpg (Downloaded 12 times)

It's something like Find Edges filter in PS. You might also look at the artistic filters...a line drawing or outline filter can produce similar.

I am browsing filters now but getting tired, last night catching up with me... I like the sort of Giles cartoon effect. For in-house, informal snaps it's great.

Nice Effect anyway. Something to bear in mind for creative use in camera.

Like this?![]() Apply D-noise filter then Find Edges > adjust levels and layer opacity. ![]() ![]() I had looked at Find Edges but it also needs the adjustment layer to reveal the colouration from the full image. Thanks Eric.
