Ok I have searched ebay high and low but I am obviously using the wrong term. I found this item. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140791828662?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648 Which has this part (pictured below) that I would like to buy as a single item. But what is it called ? Ball joint - No!, Tube joint - No!....... Any suggestions for names or manufacturers please. Attachment: AE2501-4.jpg (Downloaded 57 times)

Method to find 1. Cmd T (new Tab) 2. Cmd L activate omnibar (address bar) 3. Type Manfrotto.com 4. In Manfrotto Search type 'boom' and hit enter 5. Read first description "Boom attaches to the shaft of most lightstands with diameters of 19, 20, 25, 28mm. Top tube diameter: 25mm 3 sections boom arm complete with Pivoting Clamp 124, Counter Weight G-Peso 023, cable clips and locking key." 6. Cmd L 7. Type Pivoting Clamp 124 and hit enter 8. Click 'Images' link to visually confirm 9. About 20 seconds after step 1 - post response

Yes JK I find that as age rises Google can't translate 'thingy' very well. Whotsit not much better for results either.

This is why I so often struggle with searches, my speelling, my odd ideas of what things are called, the equally odd ideas of what other people call things and the vague responses from search engines drive me to distraction at times. That said I have dug up some very useful info on the botanic side of things.

Very true.However my original search revealed a product with multiple parts for £18+£6 delivery. Subsequent searches reveal a single item that costs £33 + free p&p. No logic in this world!!!

So then you become creative. Photographic bits = expensive Musical stuff = cheap - somewhat expensive.
