It may have been Gilbert, I was under the impression there was still speculation as to whether it was to be a D4S or a D5...

I think that it was confirmed it would be a D4S rather than a D5 but anything more was speculation.

All the rumours that I have heard are saying that the D4S info will be released in mid-February.

Looking at what's new and whats improved I really cant get excited.

Got to say that my D3S, D800 and D600 excite me more! I must be getting old.

JK,
re: getting old
So are most of us (grin)
Looking at the comparison on the USA nikon site, improvements are minor, as is appropiate with a minor update.
Some electronics upgrade (and more economical on power)
Some extra features like small-RAW.
Regards, Gilbert

Thanks Gilbert.
I remember I felt the same when Nikon released the F4 as I thought my F3 was a thing of great beauty along with my FM and FE. So i never had a F4. Then when the F5 came out I had a pair of F801s cameras before I got my D1.

I guess that my Nikons will stay much the same until a D5 or D400.
