If you have a D3100, D3200, D5200, D5300 then be aware the latest firmware will stop non-Nikon batteries to stop working

Perhaps of more concern, are our home made Li-Ion conversions safe from this madness?
There are some very unhappy punters on that site!
All my modern batteries are genuine, so no worries there, that said I didn't make the upgrade anyway because the D3100 takes such lovely pictures as it is, even in a full gale, no need to upgrade!Attachment: The Oakdale in Choppy Water.jpg (Downloaded 27 times)

Another good reason to hang onto legacy bodies that don't ave firmware support anymore.

Yes the Lion batteries for the D1 series cameras will work until the camera or battery dies.
My D1X still going strong even though it only gets occasional use.

Good thing I do n`t have any of those , I`m a sucker for free software... but how`s it possible , a Fluke from Nikons side ?

Also, beware of the latest Avast! upgrade. It can permanently trash your Thunderbird email.
I've just spent two days trying to repair mine; without success.
