I can't think of any other way of describing it. Anyone seen this before and know what caused it? Click here to comment on this image. Click here to comment on this image. It shows up as radiused shadows in the lh corners of the viewfinder aperture/moulding. |

It's normal - if you swing the camera first left then right with your eye away from the eyepiece you will see the curves move across the view - you are looking at a rectangular screen through a round lense - put you eye right up to the eyepiece and the cropping disappears. - Where's your rubber eycup gone? I can't see through the viewfinder in this shot - I can in the shot I posted at the start of this thread-- but I hear what you're saying. But with such a hi-tech piece of precision engineering, I would have expected it to be symmetrical. I took the rubber eyecup off when I was experimenting with the -2.0dioptre viewfinder correcion lens, and haven't got a round tuit  |
