Offset viewfinder lens in D600 - Page 1

I can't think of any other way of describing it. Anyone seen this before and know what caused it?

It shows up as radiused shadows in the lh corners of the viewfinder aperture/moulding.

It's normal - if you swing the camera first left then right with your eye away from the eyepiece you will see the curves move across the view - you are looking at a rectangular screen through a round lense - put you eye right up to the eyepiece and the cropping disappears. - Where's your rubber eycup gone?
