Certainly the wireless/bluetooth remote (ML-L7) has no focus 1/2 press just a full press. How stupid!

I took the Z fc out again this morning. I tried both normal and silent shutter. I didn't notice any anomalies in the images using silent shutter, so was happy about that. I took over 500 images on one battery, not sure how much was left in the battery. I was going to keep using it until it went flat, but didn't get that far today. I had a spare in my pocket. Focusing was fine, particularly when the birds were in bush with dappled lighting. As the remote has function buttons, maybe one can be programmed to give remote focussing - like using the back button to focus?![]() Click here to comment on this image.

Good idea @chrisbet. I'll see if I can get BBF working and try it out. I decided to have a play with the ML-L7 remote this morning. Nikon love to make life difficult. It took me 1/2 and out to figure out how to get it connected. Once connected it worked quite well. A couple of snaps from this morning #1 Z fc with Lensbaby Velvet 85 ![]() #2 Z fc with 105mm macro. 15image focus stack ![]()

I find that getting some of the bluetooth and wifi connections working to initially connect is a real trial. Once connected it usually works very well. Did you manage to get a solution to the focus half pressure issue?
