They were always going to be sold down the river - too small in trade terms to worry about. I reckon the euro businesses are laughing all the way to the bank - they are still selling to the UK and getting the same prices but now they are able to get the VAT back on export ... while the UK customer has to pay the import VAT - this was NEVER about tariff free trade, customs tariffs are, and always have been a minor consideration.

Bit off topic ... :offtopic:

Ahem, so ignoring Brexit (I say as a dual UK/EU national (Sorry!)) and coming slightly back on topic... one thing that really bugs me is just how little we got in the Z9 announcement. The press the A1 got by launching TOTALLY out of the blue was immense, Nikon watered it down for no reason with their development announcement, I thought we'd see more in the press in the last week but nada.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to Easter when I've got a nice bit of Canon kit turning up to spend some time with and make some videos about, The R5, 15-35 2.8, 28-70 F2, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8, 85 1.2 DS. It'll be interesting to see how those compare to the Z kit I've got and my recent time with the Z7 II. I've heard great things about the R5 so I'm hoping it doesn't make me regret my Z mount investment :sssshh:
