When I can get a lightly used example, or two, for around £1,500 to £2,000 I may consider it.

Too heavy.  I will have a second Z7 or D850 instead!

Too small! The D6 is a few grams heavier than the D4 and I have been carrying two of those with 24-70 on one and 70-200 + TC17 on the other most days for the past six weeks. I now need a couple of new belts...

I`ll hold off ...awaiting the arrival of the D9....until then the D3s and D3X will do the job just fine.

I see the price premium for a D6 over a D5 is £300 (on the Nikon Store UK web site). If I were thinking about spending that much on a new camera it would be difficult to decide which of the two to go for because it seems most of the upgrades are video related, in which I have no interest, but there are some features applicable to stills that I would like. With the price of XQD cards £300 makes a difference and the D5 is available with CF slots.

You can take good photos with weak cameras like the d90. It would also help you, but I consider that the photo is taken by the photographer and not the camera
