just spotted a D3s on e.bay going through at a silly price , i.e sub £400 and bought it high shutter count ,but I'll take my chances ... any one got any spare c/f cards lying about I got rid of mine when I sold the canon gear .. will update on arrival mid /end of week

Congratulations the D3S is a solid camera.  I still have mine. I would want a £800 for it as it is less than 10000 actuations.

This is my first ever venture into full frame , if it does what I want then other changes may follow .. I love the images I get from the 7200 but there's something missing I can't put my finger on it ,but its like a itch that won't go away .. we shall see

Cant see much missing from your D7200 images.  :bowing:
The D3S has extras that the D3 hasnt got. The sensor self clean is very useful.
The 12MP is very forgiving as long as you use ISO less than 3200/6400 and dont crop too aggressively.

Yep I realise that Jonathon , I will lose a lot of reach and a fair bit of croppabilty ,but hopefully gain in autofocus , both cameras have sensor self clean btw

Yes the AF is very good and I dont think is bettered until you get to D5/D850/Z7/D500 which are using the latest and greatest AF module.
