And three more cameras but this time using the 1" sensor technology. Is this the dawn of the death of FF with APS-C becoming the new top size sensor and the 1" sensor emerging as a contender for replacing the APS-C as the popular amateur size. Obviously I am not talking now but in the next 10 years!

So what is the lens focal length multiplication factor compared with FX? 500mm on DX would make it 750mm equivalent so 1" diagonal must make it quite a bit longer still, effectively. I can't see this replacing FX, different job, different tool. In ten years time we could be seeing a totally different imaging system where the difference between still and moving images is completely blurred and including 3D surround imaging, it's almost here now. I tried some 3D surround vision goggles recently and the effect is stunning. btw, the blurred pun wasn't sought but fitted nicely so I left it!

No the values shown are the FX equivalent. I think 1" sensor gives 2.75 magnification compared to FX. 6.7 to 18.5 mm (angle of view equivalent to that of 18-50 mm lens in 35 mm [135] format)
