I'm still using a 2TB one for my images since 1998.

Judith,
Good for you. I have the same combination and it is the best camera and lens that I have ever owned. I'm not a professional but I've used many of the Nikon D cameras, D, D1X, D2X, D3X to be precise. You will not be disappointed.
Happy New Year.

No need for a hard hat Robert, I'm not scared of him!! LOL

Terry, I'm looking forward to collecting my new toy. Hopefully, I can work out how to use it!!! If not, there's always the JK option when I get over to Spain.

That's the next most commonly used button on my cameras.

LOL well I did promise myself a new camera when I got my job in Shetland and now that it's finished and I got a nice end of contract bonus, I decided to cough up. It has taken a couple of months of palpitations and sharp intakes of breath to do the deed though.

I gave up on the d400 coming out so now that I've bought something else, I guess we can expect an announcement any day now!!

This probably cements the announcement of a D400 by February... But you will be in love with ultra high IQ by then, so it won't matter :-)

Love your body/lens choice...my 24-70 is almost glued on the "old" D800 and that means no dust :-)

On a more serious note, Judith.

Why did you go for the D810 as opposed to the D750?

Or even the D600 that JK holds highly?

I plan to sell my D3 and D7000 in March, and I am still debating (nay vassilating) whether to replace them with one of these or wait for a the holy grail, D400.

Well done Judith as I've said before, I think the d810 is the best all round camera at the moment.
