Long time Nikon owner - started way back in the 70's with an FM and loved it. Then some light fingered character nicked it and I moved on to a F50 but didn't really get on with that so well. It sat in the cupboard when I got a Canon xl1s video camera and videos generally replaced still shots in my life. Recently I decided that I would get back into semi serious photography and bought a D90 body & some VR AF zoom lenses and a 50mm f1.8 prime so that has become my camera of choice for the moment.

My main interest is horses & horse riding, I own a 16 year old, 17 hand, dark bay mare that I keep out in Tuscany - good excuse for lots of trips to the sun, good food, Chianti and beautiful scenery.
My avatar is my horse, Scully, one misty morning in the UK before she transformed from an Essex girl to an Italian lady :-)

Welcome to the forum.
Glad to have another long term Nikon user here. I hve used Nikon since 1973.
D90 is fine. I have a D90 that has a 18-200 VR permanently attached to it, and an earlier D80 but use it for InfraRed.

BTW: Definitely an Italian lady rather than an Essex girl. Cant see any white high heels. Sorry not-PC.

I noticed the white socks but either that is a left over from UK life or life in Tuscany has brought an Italian flair for elegant dressing.
