ROFLMAO! Built on the tidal Ribble, bypassed by the very first section of motorway in the UK on 5 December 1958. Administrative centre for the red rose county.

Have to admit it wasn't over used at first. It's now four lanes and chocker full.

It's no longer the Preston bypass anymore!

I think everywhere is chocker these days.

I was recently in Surrey and couldn't believe how much traffic was on the roads at all times of day. Glad to get back to our quieter area of UK.

England is now totally overcrowded especially in SE and Midlands. The insistence to stop the M1 before Edinburgh was always a mystery to me.
In the old days the road to Edinburgh was the A1 and was always full of lorries, until they made the M6 and its extension into Scotland to Glasgow. What they should have done was to make the A68 from Darlington to Edinburgh the main northerly trunk route by widening it to become a M68. This would reduce the horrendous congestion on the M6 northwards from Birmingham.

Scotland is the only part of UK that is unspoilt.

I think there are one or two other areas en route to Scotland where you can be aloneISH.

The message about immigration is being slanted wrongly. It's not about who or where people came from, it's the fact that England is full. Strict control on all migration has been needed for many years. Our infrastructure is crumbling under the weight of numbers irrespective of where they originate.
