Ed, I don't understand the "No tax payable" bit.

Here in the UK we have a sales tax called VAT, all sellers charge it unless the product is going abroad. If the product goes abroad, or perhaps in your case into another state, the local tax is payable.

When I have bought things, even used items from private sellers in the US, I have had to pay VAT, AND import duty, AND a 'Handling charge' by UPS or whoever the shipper may have been.

I know Apple play things by the book with tax and stuff, so how come this 'job outfit' can buck the [tax] rules?

Or, will the delivery driver be asking for a check from you when he delivers?

Probably best elained by a USA resident but in some states the Purchase Tax is not charged if it is a sale to a non state resident.
I think New Hampshire and a couple of other states have no sales tax.

I'm sure somebody will correct me if I have misrepresented the situation.

Hi
JK is right, if you purchase something out of state, in most cases there is no sales tax. Here in Wa. sales tax is almost 10% so on a hi dollar item it pays to go out of state. Some just drive to Oregon, for me the cost there would be more. I order amateur radio gear  from there by phone free overnight shipping an no tax.

The iPad mini arrived Monday it is all set up and running fine. I will say I like it everyone complains about the display but I don't see a thing wrong, it is great and I am sure she who must be obeyed will like it too.

:applause:

be well :-)

Ed

Great news Ed.
I keep thinking that a iPad Mini would be good for travel. I must resist.

You will begin having to pay to other states here in the states also. I today received a statement from Amazon detailing items I had purchased for my grandchildren and had shipped to Tenn. It basically indicated I had tax due on them that it was my responsibility to pay.
