The D6 looks very much like the D4 and D5 so no I don't think the technology is going to be in the D6

Will you be disappointed, in some respects I hope you are, in others not.

I still have an F3 film.  Now if there was a digital film insert then I would be happy.

I believe the nearest we have is DF, I suspect a DF2 is unlikely and a ZF even less likely but for some very desirable.

I tested a Df a while back and found it to be big, bulky and lacked finesse wrt controls.  Everything seemed to be suboptimal.
