It just ocurred to me I haven't been here in ages so hello and happy new year to you all. :wine:
Here's a squirrel just to prove I still take photos LOL.  Snapped on the P900, I got last August as my new holiday camera, about a month or so ago.   I'm really pleased with it.  In good light, the pics are excellent and it peforms pretty well in not so good light as well.  This was ISO800, 1/160, F6.3.

A Squirrel thread!

Welcome back Judith, have been wondering where you were. The place seems brighter when you are around, Lovely Squirrel.

JK's back in Blighty, God knows what's happening in Westminster!

I will be up near the Kyle of Lochalsh in May for a week or so with some friends. I want to take a trip around the North coast of Scotland this year, East to West, maybe during the summer.

One or two tips where to visit for relaxed landscape/nature photography would be appreciated. I believe the North West tip is spectacular and perhaps a little less over run with visitors than Skye? Any particular Glens or Lochs?

Watch out for the motor homes and caravans!
The Route 500 has been promoted so much over the last couple of years in camping mags and programmes such that it's become a bit of a nightmare. Not just UK campers but loads of those foreign johnnies driving the route and driving the locals mad with traffic, wild camping in lay-bys, rubbish and worse.

By all accounts it's turned the once peaceful scenic route into a holiday pestilence....rather like the Lakes.:whip:

Yes I was thinking that the North Coast 500 looks like a good possibility this summer with all this Brexit stupidness.
My camper is at this moment in tthe process of being converted to UK plates with all its attendant bureaucracy.

Oh.

That's blown that idea then.

It's something I have always wanted to do, maybe middle of February, or wait until November?

What's the "500" bit? I thought the A500 went through Staffordshire...
