HI Guys
Thanks for all the great suggestions. but I can't stop looking and I found that I can buy a refurb D810 from Nikon for $100. more than a new D500 I am aware of the main differences FX vs DX and all. (processor and focus points and file size )
All my current lenses are FX so no issue there I would probably keep the D7100 just because I can.

Thanks In advance Ya I know you are sorry I came back

Ed

HI Eric
You did not miss anything,
Unlike in the past there was always someone here, or not long to monitor the forum.
It seems thing have changed and that is no longer the case it makes one think it might be on the slippery slope to the end.
Hopefully as usual I am wrong. This used to be a cool place to hang out

Thanks for all your good advice take care and be well Eric

Ed

I think it's a fact that as digital photography has matured and we all became proficient with our new age equipment, the need for help from others has diminished. With this coming of age, there seems to have been a lack of interest in just 'hanging out' and chatting.

It's not unusual for people with collective uncertainty, to gather together for support, only to disperse once they feel they can fly solo.

I suspect we are at that stage with this forum.

I confess that, having sold all my Nikon equipment in favour of the lighter Fuji system, I have been disinclined to post any of my work ....as it has no relevance to a Nikon equipment forum. Having said that, this forum has never been big on sharing images for critique anyway!
