My large A3 Intuos 2 tablet isn't responding on Yosemite but I haven't investigated that yet. My other more modern Intuos tablet with the control ring, refused at first, Apparently the Wacom upgrade for Yosemite won't work correctly with Yosemite. Also the control panel is said not to work at all in the latest version. However, the previous version works OK. I don't have all the version numbers to hand, they are mentioned in this thread: http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20533 I installed 6.38-2 RC and the control panel (Pref's) and the tablet work OK. Apparently the 'correct' (latest as of ~20 Oct 2014) drivers produce wiggly lines and unexpected behaviour.

I have read that Wacom are saying that Graphite is too old in the tech stakes and thus no new driver. Come on Wacom it is only a fancy mouse and my oldest mouse still functions. Seems they are offering a 20% discount voucher if one upgrades.

If Wacom aren't prepared to support older gear then they should throw the software over to open source and let some kids sort it, may even teach Wacom a thing or two!

That is my view on all software. If the company goes into administration or the software is retired then it should be made open source so that the assets are not wasted. However many companies feel that doing this 'exposes their methods and intellectual property'. Absolute rubbish especially if they have retired the software. Even if there is a new version then after a time the methods and code used in the software has been or should have been so improved that it would take significant rework to gain any significant commercial advantage.
