still around and keep peeping in for look ,have now got myself a "old" canon 1Dmkiii its only a 10mp sensor but somehow produces the raw files that just look RIGHT before processing ,and if needed i can also use it to hammer in nails its that tough .the other day i coupled it to my seldom used sigma 120-400 as i was doing toad close ups and the lens focusses down to 1.5mtrs ,got the resulting image which is nearly full frame .
i was also pleased to find out this morning it has been picked as BBC WALES NATURES photo of the day .

Is the Sigma 120-400 a Nikon mount that you adapted to Canon?

no its a canon mount one ,luckily in our house the four of us are wildlife photographers so ,we can buy ,sell and swap and try out different lens and camera combo's at will ,i.e my son has just decided to go back to nikon ,so i have now picked up his 70-200 at a good price .the sigma lens and a canon 60d also came via a previous move he made as i was changing to canon .

eventually we will between us find something that really works LOL
