The absence of a Recent Images panel on this forum (sad loss from the old forum!) means that instead of visitors seeing the posted gallery images going by... we need to mention when images that might be of interest, have been posted.

Since we have had a recent thread on Fake IR, I thought I would post a few of my recent IR photos in this gallery....

I need to look into this again.
I think that it should be possible to show the most recently posted images from the Gallery but I need to restore some of the 'panels' that Steve Saunders removed when we first set up the forum.

I agree, the recent image is a valuable aspect of the forum, the feature led me to enjoy many images as they were uploaded. I think it was an incentive to members to put their images in the gallery. I tend not to bother much now because I don't think people will see them. Not that I am taking many interesting pix at the moment...

Not only the recent images but also the random images from the gallery was a good feature, thanks for reviving the issue Eric.

There is no doubt that there seems to have been less uploading to the albums in this new forum. It's very much 'tucked out of the way'. Whilst photo critique never been a significant part of the forum, I do suspect we all enjoyed seeing members work 'passing through'.

On my to do list.
Unfortunately the reason we got this forum software was because Steve Saunders was using it on his forum so was familiar with its use. He seems to be busy with other things. I must get in contact and see how he is.
To get those side panels back I will need to get some help.
