Does the forum software tend to soften an image as this is so much sharper before putting it on the forum.

I think it does Iain. Some of my IR shots look softer.

Nice shot....is it a speckled wood?

I think it depends on a number of things.
Size and output dpi and also final sharpening settings make a difference.

Not sure that changing colour space doesnt have some effect as well. I shoot AdobeRGB but then need to save to sRGB for web.

Eric, I get about 15 give or take a few depending on light etc before the rate slows in raw and that's with a x633 card in.
