 I just got an email from Nikon UK saying that there is a new firmware available for D700.
This is firmware v1.03

This was first reported here.

 Engender confidence in prospective new customers that Nikon maintains the product line right to the bitter end?

I only recently downloaded a firmware update for the D3100 - I don't know when it was released. I haven't bothered installing it because the D3100 seems to take passable images.

Can we get firmware updates for users??? I could use one. :wine:

 I guess it is part of the overall service liability as there will be D700 units that are around for many future years.
