As Robert says, people are on vacation or relaxing after the physical exertion of the Olympics.
I personally am exhausted after it...especially the rythmnic gymnastics.
But the other reason is a more serious consideration.
We are victims of evolution. Thrown together with a common cause...to understand digital photography...there was initially a lot to discuss.
But as Nikon have honed their product quality/consistency, we have bought to our budget and settled into our preferred way of doing things, the instances requiring help or discussion are now few and far between.
