I agree - as long as the card specs exceed the camera's then any excess is wasted! Nikon recommend class 6 SD and 30mb/s CF - I guess I could always plug in my external recorder to the hdmi port and shoot in live mode - I will have to test once the 810 is operational.

I feel the same about internet speeds - if all you do is browse and read emails etc then you don't need more than 20mb/s nor do you need gigabit routers ...
