Just been talking to Eric about some of the older Nikons as I have just got a very good 2nd hand D300S body from WEX for £150 and the quality of images is very good. This is an old shot of mine with another D300 at 1600 ISO 18-200mm lens 1/100sec at f4.2 hand held with hardly any noise and pin-sharp results with very poor light. Slate mine at Ffestiniog.
