Jan went to the doctor some years ago with a persistent severe pain in the neck (no not me this time!) and the doctor asked to see her handbag.
He emptied its contents on his desk and handed it back to her empty saying "try that for a week and see how you get on".
She has stopped carrying a handbag ever since...though she is stuffing her Lowepro holster with alsorts of creams and wipes and stuff!
Well you have to use that extra space for something. I've got a section of my camera bag dedicated to tissues, purse, lippy, sweets...all the little essentials you need to go out with. I suppose a man would use the space for a lens or something.
