The cost of the tooling for the bodies is high but most of the shells are either ABS or magnesium alloy.
So once you have that if you had a user replaceable sensor then it is just firmware and sensor engineering.
Happy for a replaceable sensor to be around £$€1000.
Especially if D4/5.
